Rafael van der Vaart hopes he can keep his place in Real Madrid"s midfield after scoring again in their victory over Sporting Gijon.
The Dutch midfielder has impressed in the absence of Kaka.
"Kaka and I can play together. In this team there are very good players," said Van der Vaart.
"I went home remembering the applause. I play very well when I have continuity and minutes. Right now I"m playing, but I know I can improve."
